Jungle Safari – Do’s and Don’ts

While participating in a jungle safari, it is extremely important to follow certain rules and regulations so that one does not spoil the nature’s beauty and does not disturbs our wildlife animals. Here is a list of Do’s and Don’ts of a Jungle Safari, which one should follow.

Do’s

Right Dressing:

It is recommended to wear clothes which cover your limbs so that if one comes in contact with insects or dust, he does not get infected by any allergy or disease. Multilayer clothing is also a good idea.

Blend your clothes with Jungle:

Don’t wear bright or fluorescent colour as they might be disturbing for animals, or they might get scared or can also attract their unnecessary attention. Blending with the surroundings is actually the basic idea.

Stay Calm:

Be calm composed when inside the jungle. Don’t make unnecessary noise. Over excitement might keep them away from you.

Stay in Right Company:

It is very important that you should stick to your group, headed by a proper guide or naturalist.

Light Bag:

Packing light is necessary. Only take what you need inside the jungle. Wildlife safaris can be tiring & exhausting; do not carry unrequired stuff.

Do not forget these:

Carry your sunglasses, sun hats & sunscreen to keep yourself safe from sun rays and sunburns. Wear strong jungle shoes along with socks. Avoid sleepers, sandals etc which expose your feet to wild nature.

Medical aid and Other Necessary Items

If you are allergic to dust or animal fur, you should carry your required medication with you. Also carry first-aid kit, band-aids, Raincoat, mosquito repellent, antiseptic creams, water bottle, a small torch, small cutter, personal hygiene products etc.

Camera:

Jungle safari is special occasion. Do not forget to carry a good camera so you can capture some good photographs of the flora and fauna

 

 

Don’ts

Don’t feed Animals:

Don’t try to feed anything to wild animals. Their unpredictable behavior might prove fatal for you or for them.

Refrain from Littering:

The jungle is home to the wild animals and you should restrict yourself from littering your garbage here and there in their home.

Stay Alert:

Stay Vigilant and avoid an ignorant and irresponsible attitude. If you see any visitor violating any rules, report it to appropriate authority as soon as it is possible.

Stay away from animals:

Don’t get too close to wild animals to watch them closely. They can get scared and attack you in order to protect themselves.

No Loud Talks:

Loud talks can attract animals towards you. Keep yourself low profile in the forest dominated by wild animals

Child Trouble:

It advisable not to bring small children or infants in jungle as it is hardly possible to keep them quiet.

Stay Calm during Photography:

Don’t create any disturbance for the wild animals while clicking photographs or shooting videos. Keep your camera flash mode off.

Fire Alert:

Don’t smoke or carry combustible substance with you.

Cell phone Nuisance:

Keep your cell phones switched off or on silent mode.

Do not agitate:

Do not agitate animals by throwing stones on them or playing tricks to attract them. You are guest in their home. Let them live peacefully while you explore the jungle.
